The Key Spring 2025 Trends You Need To Know Now!

Pouring over the fashion pages of your favourite magazine and sifting through social media to get a hint of new season trends can be overwhelming.  From the layering at Bottega Veneta to the all white looks of Tom Ford there is simply so much to love for spring/summer 2025. Whether you personally are a 90’s minimalist or a colourful maximalist at heart, there is a trend out there for everyone.

LAYER UPON LAYER

More is absolutely more! Think of jumpers or shirts worn over shoulders or tied round waists and skirts worn over trousers - there are many ways to layer up.  Mattieu Blazy layered skirts over trousers and jeans; Miu Miu layered sweaters around models' waists and shoulders. It is a simple styling tool but it works to create a statement. Layer a wrap midi skirt over your wide leg jeans or layer a sweater over the shoulders of your trench for a low effort stylish update.

VOLUME IS EVERYTHING

Structured shapes, wired creations and puffball sleeves & skirts were a feature of many designers' runway shows for SS25.  Comme des Garçons, Chloé and Emilia Wickstead all showed puffball jackets and skirts. Wearing a puff sleeve mini might be a bit too old romantic for many of us but maybe layer up with some sleek Paige Jeans & some trainers to keep it cool and laid back.

THE WHITE VEST

The humble tank top is a hardworking wardrobe staple for many of us but it was a main feature of many catwalk shows. Pair your sequin skirt with a white tank or wear with a tailored slouchy trouser for a more edgy modern look. Rabanne and Ralph Lauren paired their white tanks with embellished skirts. An easy trend to adopt for spring/summer and a quick update you can make to your wardrobe.

THE 70’S SHOW

If the autumn leopard print trend told us anything it is that 70’s styling is here to stay. For Spring 2025 designers have featured darker tile prints, paisley patterns and rich suedes broken up with longer necklaces and wide leg denim. Very 70s inspired and a spring summer trend that will last into the autumn winter season for sure. The lovely prints of our Dea Kudibal collection is really channelling this trend.

LADYLIKE TAILORING

Yes it's back! Maybe a response to the oversized loungewear of COVID but ladylike tailoring is set to make a return in 2025. Waisted blazers and tailored trenches were in  all the designers collections, so a great time to pick up a beautiful Amelia trench from Nadia Alexander's BearCo collection, more designs in her new collection to come soon.

TEEN SPIRIT

Whether your muse is: Nirvana or Dior, Tartan or Plaid is here with a bang for 2025.  Many of the designers showed tartans and checks in some form or another from laidback shirts to more formal classic tailored pieces. Wear a Cobain-esque flannel shirt or blazer with jeans and a tank top for a nonchalant easy breezy outfit.  Or throw on a little Clathy mini with a chunky knit and jumper, its all the rage!

ALL WHITE

Colour blocking is always a statement outfit, but all white looks were big in the designers collections for 2025. Whether a soft floaty trouser paired with a crisp shirt or a white knit over a dress or skirt, wearing top to toe in white will be a statement look for spring.
